Route directions to the Justitieel Complex Zaanstad

Please be aware that without an appointment it is not possible to enter the Justitieel Complex Zaanstad.

If you would like to visit someone – an inmate or a staff member – make sure to make an official appointment first. You need to be registered in the JCZ computer system to be allowed entrance.

Always bring a valid ID when visiting someone in the JCZ.

Always respect the security regulations of the JCZ.

Route directions by public transport:

From train station Zaandam:

Take bus 59 in the direction Beverwijk

Get off after 6 minutes at the stop called “Kleine Steng”

You are now standing right in front of the Justitieel Complex Zaanstad

Please not: on week days the bus goes every half hour (at .15 and .45). In the weekends the bus only runs once an hour (a few minutes after each whole hour).

Route directions by car:

Coming from Amsterdam ring north (A10) get onto the A8.

From A8, take exit 1 and follow the signts to Zaanstad Zuid/Oostzaan/N516

Follow the road N516/S105 for 6 kms

At the roundabout, go left to Hoofdtocht (stay on S105)

At the next roundabout, turn right onto Kleine Steng.

Turn left directly onto the grounds of the Justitieel Complex Zaanstad and follow the signts to the visitors parking lots.
